Hour Bank Eligibility Formula:

The minimum number of hours required for a month of coverage will be increased from 120 hours per month to 140 hours per month. From October 2002 forward, 140 hours will be subtracted from your hour bank in order to provide coverage for that month.

360 hours and one full calendar month (not 30 days) wait:
The member (only) has medical coverage and legal

600 hours and one full calendar month (not 30 days) wait:
The member and family has: medical, vision, audio and legal.

1200 hours and one full calendar month (not 30 days) wait:
The entire family has: medical, vision, audio, legal and dental.

After you have 360 hours plus a one-month lag, you will have 2 months of coverage. Then for every 140 hours earned thereafter, you will have one month of coverage.

Previously covered members who did not get 140 hours in the last 12 months must get 360 hours and wait one month before their insurance starts again.

Previous members who are getting back into the work field need not get the 1200 hours if you have already satisfied this in previous years.
